In order to cater to the growing demands for skilled and unskilled Labour, technicians, IT professionals, engineers and doctors in foreign countries,especially in the Gulf. It was decided by the Government of Haryana to set up an Overseas Placement Bureau in the Department of Employment.
Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana announced the launching of Overseas Placement Bureau on 1-July-2006 at Sonepat. This Bureau functions under the aegis of a Society, Haryana Overseas Placement Assistance Society (HOPAS), with its registered office at Panchkula.
Hopas participated in Jhanki at the occasion of Republic Day (26th January 2014) celebration at Panchkula for the first time & got 3rd position out of 22 participants at district level as well as honored by Honble Health Minister of Haryana Rao Narinder Singh and City Magistrate Panchkula.
