|Overseas Placement Bureau|
|In order to cater to the growing demands for skilled and unskilled Labour, technicians,
IT professionals, engineers and doctors in foreign countries especially in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar etc.,
it was decided by the Government to set up an Overseas Placement Bureau in the Department of Employment. HonÂ’ble Chief Minister,
Haryana announced the launching of Overseas Placement Bureau on 1-July-2006 at Sonepat. This Bureau functions under the aegis of a Society,
Haryana Overseas Placement Assistance Society (HOPAS), with its registered office at Panchkula,
which has been promoted by the Govt. of Haryana with the prime objective of assisting the youth of the State in overseas employment and this Society has been registered under the Societies Registration Act,
1860 and has obtained the Certificate of Registration as a Recruiting Agent under The Emigration Act,
1983 from the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs for overseas placement.
For the functioning of this Society, an Overseas Placement Committee with delegated authority of the Government was constituted on 5.10.2005,
which is competent to exercise all powers on behalf of Government in this regard. The committee approved the constitution of the Society.

| Hopas participated in Jhanki at the occasion of Republic Day (26th January 2014) celebration at Panchkula for the first time & got 3rd position out of 22 participants at district level as well as honored by Hon’ble Health Minister of Haryana Rao Narinder Singh and City Magistrate Panchkula. |
